[Introduction] The barrel-type external filter is mainly composed of barrel body, transmission device, main bearing, agitator, scraper, feeding trough and distribution head. The whole cylinder is wrapped with filter cloth. The transmission mechanism drives the cylinder to rotate and can change several speeds. The distributor head is the main part of the filter, and its position is fixed. The inner part of the cylinder is pumped into a negative pressure by a vacuum pump. Under the action of pressure difference, the slurry in the slurry tank passes through the filter cloth to form filtrate. Solid particles are blocked on the filter cloth and become filter cake.

The main body of the filter is the cylinder, which is welded with steel plates. The outer surface of the cylinder body is divided into a certain number of axial through filter chambers along the circumference direction. The chambers are tightly sealed and not ventilated to each other. A filter plate is laid in the filter chamber. On the one hand, a channel is formed to circulate the filtrate, on the other hand, it plays the role of supporting the filter cloth.

The outer surface of the whole cylinder is wrapped with filter cloth. In order to ensure the sealing between the rooms, the filter cloth is embedded in the groove of the partition with adhesive tape, hemp rope or brown rope. Then, many steel wires are wound with a winding mechanism along the axis of the outer surface of the cylinder at a distance of 50-80 mm, and the filter cloth is fixed on the cylinder.

At one end of the cylinder, there is a throat tube, which has the same number of channels as the filter chamber. Each channel is connected through the tube and a corresponding filter chamber respectively. The transmission mechanism drives the cylinder to rotate and can change several speeds.
