Leaching process of gold concentration, which is often called carbon leaching, is a process of adding activated carbon to pulp and simultaneously leaching and adsorbing gold. Compared with carbon pulp process, the two steps of leaching pulp and activated carbon adsorption in carbon leaching process are combined into one step at the same time, which can reduce both of loss and management cost. Compared with traditional cyanide gold extraction process, carbon leaching process can greatly reduce investment, and is the preferred process in modern gold concentrator. Two circuit-stages grinding process is adopted in the leaching process. The first closed-circuit grinding classification process is composed of a grid ball mill and a spiral classifier. The second closed-circuit grinding classification process consists of an overflow ball mill and a hydrocyclone. The pre-classification and inspection classification of the second closed-circuit grinding classification process are combined to improve the grinding efficiency and ensure the fineness of the product. Cyanide leaching, also known as pre-leaching operation, is usually composed of two high-efficiency and energy-saving leaching tanks in series. This section mainly controls the cyanide ion concentration and oxygen content in the leached pulp. By adjusting the dosage of sodium cyanide to control, usually in production with the pulp surface uniform dispersion of 5~15mm diameter of small bubbles is appropriate, by adjusting the air pump valve and the inflatable valve. On the premise of ensuring the adsorption rate, the gold carrying capacity of carbon is as high as possible, but the higher the gold carrying capacity of carbon is, the more gold is stored in the adsorption system, and the capital turnover will be affected. Therefore, the appropriate gold carrying capacity of carbon and the reasonable carbon system are very important for the carbon pulping plant. Generally, the gold content of the final gold-bearing carbon is 4~6g/kg, which can be controlled by adjusting the amount of carbon extraction.

The analytical electrolysis of gold-bearing carbon mostly adopts the processes of desorption with heating pressure, high-temperature and atmospheric pressure electrodeposition combined with closed-circuit circulation, and has a mature desorption electrodeposition device with high degree of automatic control. A mixture of 1% NaOH and 1% NaCN was used for the preparation of desorption electrohydrops. The anode of the electrodeposition cell is stainless steel plate with holes, and the cathode is special high quality steel wool.
